Why the Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Health Plan (Medicaid)?

CMS Health Plan is a plan for children with serious, chronic conditions.

Children's Medical Services Health Plan, operated by Sunshine Health, understands your child's unique needs. The CMS Health Plan is specially designed to bring extra benefits to children and their families. CMS Health Plan care managers help families understand and get the most from their child's benefits.

Who is eligible?

The Medicaid CMS Health Plan is for children who:

• Are under age 21 and eligible for Medicaid or
• Have special healthcare needs that require extensive preventive and ongoing care

There are two versions of the CMS Health Plan. How do I know which version my child would be enrolled in?

• If you do not pay a monthly premium for your child's health insurance, your child is enrolled in the Medicaid CMS Health Plan. 
• If you pay a monthly premium for your child's health insurance, your child is enrolled in the KidCare CMS Health Plan.
