Staying Mentally Well
Here are tips for recovering and staying well:
- Get the care you need. Find a provider that fits you.
- Stick with your treatment, one day at a time.
- Take part in activities when it feels right for you.
- Have a support system that is family, friends or community-based. Stay connected.
- Make self-care a priority. Self-care includes:
- Eating well
- Exercising and moving about – walking is a wonder!
- Getting enough sleep
- Drinking enough water
- Taking time to relax
- Setting goals
- Learning to say no when you feel you are taking on too much
